The Aquino-Yap Family for Villar!!!

The Aquino-Yap family has finally changed sides!

Confirmed: James Yap and 'Baby' James Yap are for Villar, Kris meanwhile is torn to which side she will go for, her brother or her family.

I am sure she would side with her family since her own son is wearing orange and is for Villar, as they say, babies always tell the truth. enjoy!

"Mama Kris! Why ikaw not naka-orange??? huhuhu"

"See? Kami ni Papa James wearing orange na, eh you?"

"O, yan baby, i'm wearing orange na! Check!"

"Yay! We look so ganda na Mama! Vote for Villar okay?"

Where in the world can we find this book of truths???

I took time out during the holidays to read veteran journalist Cecil Arillo’s book, Greed and Betrayal, a sequel to Breakaway, his book about the 1986 People Power Revolution. The book talks about how the Reform the Armed Forces Movement or RAM succeeded in mounting a mutiny against then President Ferdinand Marcos, and how the late President Cory Aquino benefited from it.

Arillo’s sequel is about the six years of the Cory Aquino administration. It details the sins of a vindictive regime, including well-documented instances of greed and betrayal of those who catapulted Cory to power in 1986.

The Hacienda Luisita and the Mendiola massacre were also forms of betraying the trust of the tenants and farmers.

More importantly, Arillo’s book also tells us how the so-called “Kamaganak Inc.” tried to surpass the Marcos plunder in scams and anomalies. The cannibalization of so many Cory administration-sequestered corporations by the Presidential Commission on Good Government’s fiscal agents also come to fore.

I suggest the camps of Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Senator Manuel Villar, former President Joseph Estrada, administration candidate former Defense chief Gilbert Teodoro, Senator Richard Gordon and even Jesus Is Lord Movement top honcho Eddie Villanueva get hold of Arillo’s book. It shows that the legacy Mr. Clean is riding on is one of greed and betrayal.

***

Arillo’s book is well-researched but I still have a few stories of my own that I’d like to add.

Once, an Aquino Cabinet member came out with a report that a Cory kin, together with a Kapampangan Customs broker and a spouse of a former senator, were involved in smuggling activities, specifically containers full of Mercedes Benz cars. Oldtimers at Customs are aware of this.

When this Cabinet member handed the report to Cory, she reportedly just browsed over it and then put it aside. The same Cabinet man was so disgusted that he resigned, but Cory prevailed upon him to accept another Cabinet portfolio.

There was also the takeover of some 37, I repeat 37 corporations, suspected to be that of Kokoy Romualdez, brother-in-law of the late dictator, by the in-laws of Cory.

I know this because one of the corporations taken over was Erestores Inc., a structural steel company. It was founded by the late Marcos’ Minister of Transportation Totoy Dans, who was close to Imeldific.

For the record, I was one of the incorporators of the company. I was founding director. That’s why I knew it all.

There was also the takeover of a motor and vehicle corporation with a license to import British Range Rovers and Land Rovers. The in-laws of Cory used this license to import Simba armored cars for the Armed Forces despite recommendations that they were inferior to US-made armored vehicles.

I recall that when I started to expose this anomaly, I was approached by the PR man of Cory’s in-laws. I was invited to go to London, all expenses paid for, to visit the Simba plant. I refused.

And then there was this sweetheart deal between Cory and Shell that exempted Shell from income tax payments in the multi-billion Malampaya project off Palawan. This still holds true today and the amount involved is P70 billion, according to records.

Cory was said to be very close to the then-Shell president who showered her with attention and flowers daily.

A legacy, indeed, of greed and betrayal. And Mr. Clean thinks this legacy will be his ticket to Malacañang?

A good friend emailed me this article of Emil Jurado and I immediately tried to look for the book he was referring to, Greed & Betrayal. Surprisingly though, it was really difficult to track down this book. National bookstore says that it is now only available on SM north edsa and Rockwell branches... I wonder why this book seems to be supressed from mass production and promotion, oh, let me guess, because it is about the anomalies and controversial dealings during the Aquino administration.

How convenient is it that the book that tells the truth about an important part of the Philippines' history is hard to find during this election season with an Aquino running for presidency? hmm... something seems fishy here, don't you think?

While the Liberal Party keeps on going and going with their hate campaign against other candidates, they are covering up their tracks by supressing truths that would be detrimental to their campaign.. tsk tsk. dirty tactics by the Yellow, what's new?

Aquino... the NON-LEADER of LP

"Sandali lang, hindi ako nagpa-utos na kunin sila, si Mar yun!"

I came across an article that shows just how incapable Noynoy is in managing people. His own party, the Liberal Party is not intact because Noy cannot make rival senators coincide with each other.

This is not surprising since Noynoy has never REALLY managed people or a group. I mean, when he was congressman of Tarlac and Senator of the country, he didn't even pass ONE law!!! Lito Lapid was even able to pass ONE. The son of a national icon and a senator was not able to pass one measly law in his 9 years as a public official??? disappointing... no, EMBARASSING rather..

anyway, the article:

LP infighting shows

Aquino flawed leader

Nacionalista Party spokesman and senatorial candidate Adel Tamano said yesterday the infighting within the camp of the Liberal Party shows weakness in the leadership of its standard-bearer Sen. Benigno Aquino III.

“The fact that some of LP’s senatorial bets are fighting among each other indicates a leadership flaw in Aquino. If you cannot even unite your own people, how can you do the same for the rest of the country?” Tamano said.

According to reports, Aquino has drawn up plans to keep two “feuding" senatorial bets from crossing paths.”

They were referring to former senators Ralph Recto and Serge Osmeña III.

"The LP has been unfair to Serge. Serge has gone out of his way to support Noynoy and then the LP turns its back on him by including Recto in the team,” Tamano said.

“The vital question is whether the LP has the leadership to unite Filipinos. Since LP can’t even unite Serge and Ralph, then the obvious answer is no,” he added.

Tamano said that this was in stark contrast with the leadership of Sen. Manny Villar, whom the party said had to deal with the same problem with the party’s senatorial slate.

“He brought together militant senatorial candidates Satur Ocampo and Liza Maza, military men Ariel Querubin and Ramon “Mon-Mon” Mitra, and Bongbong Marcos, son of former president Ferdinand Marcos, in what is arguably the widest alliance of sectorally divergent groups in the 2010 polls,” Tamano said.

He added that these NP candidates have three things in common: first, they are each other’s traditional political rivals; second, they are all opposed to the Arroyo administration; and third, they all support Villar’s bid for the presidency.

“Surprisingly, they have gotten along and may well have established, against expectations, camaraderie and team play,” he said. #

Noynoy's Minion Inside Philippine Star

FATMAN Esposo got the Yellow Disease early on...

Last Sunday while reading the newspaper, I saw this article written by non other than one of Noynoy's black propaganda minions, the so-called 'chair wrecker' (which is a douche bag title, as most people also think) William Esposo.

He talked smack about Manny Villar not being authentic in being poor growing up and tried to affirm it with bogus 'evidences.' Wow, another smear campaign has occurred and it is not surprising anymore given that these dirty tactics are what Noynoy and Liberal Camp are really made of.

Now I know why he is called the 'Chair Wrecker'. Chairs cannot hold more than 300 pounds, go figure.

Tell me then, what are the goals/platforms/advocacies that the Yellow group are proclaiming? NOTHING. Their statements regarding state affairs are very limited, so they let the CORY MAGIC overshadow the whole thing. Is there more to them than just 'hindi ako magnanakaw' and 'ituloy ang laban'??? come on now...

anyway, good thing came across this other article which answers douche bag Esposo's write-up, enjoy:

Mahirap Tanggapin Na Mahirap si Villar? Ano Pang BASURA ang itatapon nila?

THE VILLAR BASHERS WON’T STOP. THEY HAVE GONE TO LOW DEPTHS IN PURSUIT OF THIS SMEAR CAMPAIGN VERSUS MANNY VILLAR. JUST MANNY VILLAR, WHOM THEY MUST PERCEIVE AS THE ONLY THREAT TO THEIR CANDIDATE. THESE HYPOCRITES WITH COLUMNS TO WRITE TAKE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO BASH VILLAR, DISTORT THE TRUTH, AND PASS THEM ON TO GULLIBLE CULT MEMBERS LIKE THIS TESS SUAVILLO. READ ON………..this blogger’s opinions are in italics.
AS I WRECK THIS CHAIR
By William M. Esposo
(The Philippine Star) Updated March 28, 2010 12:00 AM

“Nakaranas na ba kayong … mamatayan ng kapatid dahil wala kang pera pangpagamot” (Have you experienced losing a brother because you did not have the money to provide him proper medical care)? — Manny Villar asked in his “PANATA(Advocacy)” TV commercial. Villar was referring to his younger brother Danny who passed away on October 1962. In the same commercial, Villar’s 1962 photo with his younger brother was shown.

This portrayal of being poor once upon a time is a fantasy which comes in a series of similar attempts by Villar to create empathy with the nearly 90% of voters who belong to the socio-economic classes D and E. However, this particular attempt to use his late brother Danny to further his political ambition showed that Villar is as capable of lying just like Madame Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (GMA).

Two public documents — the death certificate of Danny B. Villar and the Transfer Certificate of Title (TCT number: 135396/3194) of the 560 square meter property in the upper class San Rafael Village of Navotas where the Villars had lived when Danny died — shattered this ONCE POOR fantasy that Villar has been peddling.

What the San Rafael Village TCT presents:

1. Before 1962, the Villars bought 560 square meters (SQM) of high valued real estate on Bernardo Street in San Rafael Village where the more affluent folks in the Tondo-Navotas area resided.

In 1962, this was a lot in a village of 5 to 10 houses, in a place constantly flooded. Definitely NOT high-end. And Villar’s father bought it through a P16,000 loan from GSIS. This is the house they moved into from Moriones. And this place is STILL in Tondo. Monsod and Esposo claim this was a gated community to make it look like the Villars were never once poor.

2. The DEATH CERTIFICATE of the deceased Danny B. Villar established that they were already residing there in 1962.
What is true is that all the Villar children (maybe except for the youngest, Jojo) were born and raised in Moriones UNTIL THEY MOVED TO THIS PLACE IN BALUT, TONDO. It was a modest single storey house which over time was improved. With a set of hardworking and enterprising parents, the family has improved their lot. Still not RICH by others’ standards, but they succeeded in improving their lives. Surely, that is something admirable. The trouble is Villar bashers will take half-truths and distort them to make it appear that Villar was lying when he claimed to have been once poor.

3. Based on 2009 prices, the P16,000 GSIS (Government Service Insurance System) mortgage mentioned in the TCT — not necessarily the total cost of the two 280 SQM lots — is now the equivalent of P1,140,000.00. Poor people today cannot even borrow P200,000. Those who are familiar with the subdivision say that the cost per SQM in San Rafael Village today would be around P10,000 per SQM or an equivalent of around P5,600,000 for the entire property.
Like Manny, his father dreamed to improve their fortunes. As a government employee, he had access to cheap credit such as GSIS loans. The P16,000 loan was meant for both the lot and the house construction/ improvement. At the time it was bought, there was no telling the area will improve and real estate prices will rise to current levels. Just to draw parallels, anyone who can borrow back then could have bought properties along Osmena St (South Super Highway) before the highway was constructed and be pleasantly surprised now that their investments paid off.

4. Jun Borres, the present owner who is using the 560 SQM property as offices of his firm, Jumbo Fishing, stated that when they bought it in 1987 – it had a one and a half floor house. The ground floor was made of concrete while the upstairs was made of wood. This was typical upper middle class and upper class dwelling in the 1960s.
What is wrong with a once poor vendor of shrimps and fish to improve their fortunes and move from poor to middle class over time? Isn’t this the price and prize of sipag and tyaga? Do people expect the poor to remain poor forever? Is it a mortal sin and immoral that the Villars did not remain poor? Remember that the property was bought in 1962, and this “witness” Jun Borres who claims this is a typical upper middle class dwelling bought the property in 1987. A difference of 25 years!!!!

Implications of the San Rafael Village ownership

1. Together with established Manny Villar bio information, they could not have been dirt poor to be able to move to San Rafael Village before 1962. His mother was a seafood (shrimp, crab and fish) dealer in Divisoria Market, not a fish vendor as what Villar tries to project. A seafood dealer supplies the vendors. For a family of 11, they ate canned corned beef — which Manny Villar admitted on his earlier TV ad. His father was a government official, said to be a Budget Officer of the then DANR (Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources) under which was the Fisheries Bureau. Manny Villar studied in private schools — the Holy Child Catholic School for elementary and Mapua Institute of Technology for High School. Poor folks send their kids to public schools.

Again, how these yellow birds distort the truth! Nanay Curing started as a seafood vendor, eventually graduating to a seafood dealer. Canned corned beef is not daily fare. Manny mentioned it with fond memories because the Villar children remember with fondness the way their corned beef was cooked to satify a big family. Just the same, soupy corned beef was a treat for them. Please read http://politicalama teur.wordpress. com/2010/ 03/22/dati- ngang-mahirap- eh/

Also, the Holy Child Catholic School was situated right beside the Isabelo de los Reyes Elementary School where Manny Villar first enrolled. The “private school” was a parochial school then subsidized by the parish where tuition was definitely not of the standards of private schools today. Villar’s parents valued education as a means out of poverty, typical of parents even today. And I need not repeat that the family was once poor and managed to improve their lot through sipag at tyaga to be what these bashers call “middle class”.

2. Villar’s parents must have had a sizeable combined income to be able to buy the San Rafael Village property. The 560 SQM size demonstrates their financial capacity. If they could, poor people buy lots sized less than 100 SQMs. Villar’s father must also be making a sizeable income from the government to be able to borrow P16,000 from the GSIS. In 1962, senior executives in big corporations made monthly salaries of about P2,000.
Villar’s father is a lowly government employee who THROUGH THE YEARS got his promotions. Ano ang masama duon? He had access to GSIS credit, and he borrowed money to buy his family a lot they can call their own. Ayaw ba marinig yan ng mga mayayaman?

What Danny B. Villar’s DEATH CERTIFICATE reveals:

1. It is NOT TRUE that Danny died because they were poor and could not afford proper health care. The stated residence in Danny’s death certificate was the San Rafael Village property.

If you are rich, and your kin is suffering from a dreaded disease, you will most certainly make sure he gets the best medical care. Such is not the case with Danny who was brought for treatment from clinic to clinic until he grew worse in condition and the family brought him to FEU hospital.

2. The BIG LIE is further proved by the fact that Danny stayed 13 days at the FEU (Far Eastern University) Hospital where he expired at age 3 years and 8 months. If they were really poor, the PGH (Philippine General Hospital) would have been the affordable hospital to bring Danny. He was definitely given proper health care. FEU Hospital was one of the top hospitals in 1962, before the establishment of the Makati Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital.
Oh Yes, if y ou have someone nearly dying…….make sure you choose the hospital you bring him to. Take the time to choose and mind which hospital you can afford. Tell that to the poor. PGH is a choice. But Ms. Monsod and Mr. Esposo should remember that FEU hospital, even at that time, had a charity ward! Danny was admitted as a charity patient in FEU hospital, but that fact was conveniently omitted in Monsod and Esposo’s columns. This is the height of nitpicking. For these guys to dwell on this topic, distort the truth make us sick!

3. Danny died from CARDIAC and RESPIRATORY FAILURE resulting from COMPLICATIONS OF LEUKEMIA. In 1962, there was no bone marrow transplantation and chemotherapy yet and everyone whether rich or poor died from contracting leukemia.
At this point, let me just say that the family of Manny Villar find it very very sad that they have to explain themselves here. Leukemia afflicts both rich and poor, but the rich get proper medical care, unlike poor Danny who had absolutely no chance and died at a very young age. Cancer, leukemia, etc. —- these illnesses may be hopeless cases. But it is always disheartening not to be able to afford medical care to a poor child like Danny. This is a dark moment in the Villar family’s life. And these bashers want to make light of it?

4. Upon Danny’s death, his remains were turned over to LA FUNERARIA PAZ — then, until now, considered one of the top two mortuaries (Funeraria Nacional, the other). This further disproved Manny Villar’s claim that Danny died because they did not have the money to take care of him.
Back then, Funeraria Paz is just one funeral parlor. This does not prove anything.

When Iggy Arroyo was seen as having taken the Jose Pidal rap for his elder brother Mike, many folks felt that it was rather low of Mike Arroyo to place his younger brother at risk. Our culture expects the older brother to protect the younger brother.

In that regard, we can consider Manny Villar as having done worse than Mike Arroyo. At least, Iggy Arroyo was alive and kicking and he could have opted to stay out of the Jose Pidal controversy. But in the case of Manny and Danny Villar, Danny was used to promote a myth when Danny was in no position to agree to his elder brother Manny’s portrayal of his death.

Here is where these bashers try to draw parallels between Villar and the present occupants of Malacanang. Bravo, guys. You want to paint Manny Villar as worse than Mike Arroyo. You want people to remember Manny Villar as “like the hated Arroyo”. Here is where you want to take everyone for a ride by bashing Villar as no different from the hated First Family, right? Your political agenda is showing, fellas. Low. Sick. You guys are hopeless.

With the propagation of this ONCE POOR fantasy, don’t you think that Manny Villar also desecrated the memory and honor of his parents who strove to be able to provide their children quality education and an upper class domicile?

If Manny Villar can lie and use his dead younger brother like this, what makes you think that he will really improve and not worsen your life?

What makes you think that he is not as greedy as he is being charged in this presidential campaign?

What makes you think that you can trust Manny Villar?

TESS L. SUAVILLO

What can I say Tess? If we were to write something like this against Noynoy, you guys will scream at the top of your lungs and brand us as “paid hacks” of Manny Villar. Even noveau billionaire Manny Pacquiao and multi-millionaire Willy Revillame were not spared from being branded as paid hacks. All celebrities endorsing Villar you claim to be paid, while Noynoy yellow stars are endorsing Noy because of their convictions, right? How about you? Oh yes, you guys cannot be bribed. You guys are volunteers who write the truth , not expecting any in return. You guys have no hidden agenda except to deliver the “truth” to the public. Like it is your patriotic duty or something. YOU GUYS ARE SO DIFFERENT FROM PEOPLE LIKE ME AND THE REST OF THE MBV SUPPORTERS, BECAUSE WE CANNOT BE AS GOOD, AS HOLY, AS VIRTUOUS AS YOU HYPOCRITES ARE.

Suit yourselves. You are showing your colors and character here. And you claim to be the decent kind? Such hypocrisy. This black propaganda is no different from the previous lies this camp peddled. (Read http://politicalama teur.wordpress. com/2010/ 02/22/and- the-black- propaganda- backfires- palpak-to- the-max/)

Perhaps during this political season, some find it agonizing to remain DECENT. To go down to these unbelievable depths while parading themselves among the alta sociedad is pure hypocrisy. Monsod, Esposo, Banayo and De Quiros. They are truly a league of a different kind. They have propagated a cult, and Tess here counts among the gullible members.

A True Testament to Villar

From all the e-mails and text messages I get everyday, many of them come from political themes, especially this year that the Presidential Elections are happening. Why, its only down to 40 days (from this date) until the Philippines elects its new leader of the nation. There have been plenty of buzz that it will boil down to either Manny Villar or Noynoy Aquino. While it is widely known that Aquino just entered the race right after his mother's death, Villar has been leading the race since the beginning. Sadly though, it is with these two candidates that are most publicized negatively (although I don't feel for Aquino so much, or at all even...).

I am convinced however, that if not all, most of the rumors hounding Villar are false. Aquino's Yellow influence on all forms of media (radio, tv, newspaper, internet) is solid, given that the administration led by his mother were full of cronies and tyrants that own these media companies. Whatever it is that they wish to portray their opponents (in this case, Villar) as, they are able to do because of their overwhelming power in media. Imagine, if they want to broadcast to the entire Philippines that Villar land-grabbed, or stole money, re-aligned whatever road, or any issue for that matter, all they have to do is tell local news programs (as well as Kris Aquino) to spread the rumor like wildfire and it will.

Unfortunately, this kind of dirty tactics is working for them.

I hope that every Filipino gets to really understand and comprehend to what these power-craving liar scumbags are planning for the Philippines. Meanwhile, a friend sent me this relieving e-mail that shows who Villar truly is. Enjoy.

He is the Man: A high school classmate tells why Manny Villar is the best presidential bet for the May 10 polls
By Manny Castro
Why do I think Manny Villar is the best candidate we have for the May elections?

I knew him from the heart. We grew up together inTondo. I lived in Tayuman, he’s from Moriones but we often saw each other and played basketball. Back in high school, we were classmates in Mapua Institute of Technology in Sta.Cruz, Manila.

I remember him as a simple but no ordinary student. No, he wasn’t nerdy nor the Ernie Baron-type of a student. He’s no ordinary because as young as thirteen or fourteen years old (during our second and third year in high school) he was already selling fish and shrimps in Divisoria, sometimes by himself, sometimes with his mother.

For those who say that he’s not really poor because his parents can afford to send him to private schools don’t know what they’re saying. Or they simply don’t know the meaning of sacrifice and honest hard work; of waking up as early as 1 am to be able to fetch the freshest fish in Navotas and be able to resell it per kilo in Divisoria – to be able to pay for your education.

Because his parents believe that a good education is the only hope for their children para makaahon sa kahirapan.

Diyan ako bumilib at naniwala sa determinasyon at kakayahan ni Manny. During our high school reunions, he would remind us “Malalagpasan din natin ito (poverty), basta’t magtiyaga lang tayo.” And true to his word and action, mula pagkabata iyang prinsipyo na iyan ang dala-dala at pinanghawakan niya. When we were in high school, nakakaawa yan sa klase. From Navotas and Divisoria, after selling fish, diretso na ‘yan sa school. 7 am ang klase namin. Syempre pagod na pagod at puyat pa, kaya madalas late at nakakatulog sa klase. Pero hindi siya nahihiya, basta ‘wag lang maabsent.

Determined at focus talaga siya sa pangarap niya. He knew he was poor that’s why he avoided unnecessary expenses (like attending the Juniors-Seniors’ Prom) and didn’t have time for extra-curricular activities in school. During our senior year, his mother borrowed a neighbor’s barong so that Manny could attend our prom which was held at the school quadrangle. Nahiya na lang siguro kaya napilitang umattend kasi ‘nung third year kami hindi siya nakaattend kasi nga walang pambili ng barong.

He was a student but he had spent most of his time working to contribute to his family’s meager earnings. When he’s not selling fish in the market, he helped his mother tend the sari-sari store in their rented house in Moriones. I think Manny felt that it was his role since siya ang panganay na lalake sa kanilang siyam na magkakapatid.

That’s why hindi na ako nagtaka when I saw him slowly rose from poverty. Sabi ko magtatagumpay talaga ang taong ito because he has character and integrity, perseverance and iron will. His vision is clear. His determination is solid. No one and nothing can distract him from attaining his goal once he had set it.

But what I really admire about Manny is that he never forget where he came from, his humble beginnings. Whatever success he had attained in life, whatever stature in society he had achieved, he would always be the Manny that we know back in high school – a loyal friend, matulungin at laging maaasahan sa oras ng pangangailangan. I think ‘yung pagtulong sa kapwa laluna sa kagaya niyang lumaki sa hirap ay natural sa kanya. Because he knew how it feels to be poor. For Manny, he is dead serious about his campaign na tapusin ang kahirapan. Hindi lang pang media soundbites.

Those who were saying that Manny have no qualms spending his billions, donating houses and lots, buying his way to the presidency, etc. because he’ll get it back anyway (double or triple pa daw) once he becomes president – doesn’t really know the guy. Nasa puso talaga niya ang tumulong sa kapwa na walang inaasahang kapalit. Isusubo na lang niya, ibibigay pa niya sa nangangailangan. I remember this vividly.

‘Yang si Manny ang baon niya madalas dalawang pandesal na may palamang peanut butter o margarine na nilagyan ng asukal. Minsan recess namin nakita niya ‘ko na walang kinakain. He asked me kung may baon ako. Sabi ko wala. Sabi niya, “eto o, tig-isa tayo sa pandesal.” It’s true kaya alam ko kung ano ang palaman ng pandesal na baon niya.

One thing I can say about him is that kahit malayo na ang inabot niya sa buhay hindi pa rin siya nagbago.

That’s why I firmly believe that he would be a good president. He should become our next president. Because he knows the value of sacrifice, hard but honest labor. He believes that you must work hard to earn your lot, hindi pwedeng ibang tao ang gumawa at magtrabaho para sa ‘yo. Kailangan magbanat ng buto at magpatulo ng pawis. Magtiyaga at magsumikap para umasenso sa buhay. Ganyan ang vision niya para umunlad ang ating bayan at ang bawat pamilyang Pilipino.

He has great competence, experience, maturity and discipline derived from years of hard work. In business and in politics as well. He is a visionary and has a creative mind as proven by the success of his business ventures, starting from a gravel and sand business to being the leader in construction and real estate industry in the Philippines. But he is no Midas and has no pretension of being the Messiah or the personification of all that is good. He is simply a hard worker and a hands-on leader.

For all the economic woes, injustice and hardships our people suffer from decades of elite rule by the hacienderos and buena familias of old such as the Ayalas, Lopezes, Aranetas, Roxases, Madrigals, Cojuangcos, Aquinos, and the like, it is high time that we put in Malacanang a president that truly represents the poor.

On May 10, I will make sure that Manny Villar gets their vote.

* Mr. Manny Castro manages his own travel consultancy firm. He is an active member of Cardinals and Robins for Villar, a volunteer organization composed of former classmates of Sen. Manny Villar in Mapua Institute of Technology.

MarlBOBO Country... Come to where the flavor is... gross.

Here are some shots of the incomparable (I meant that in a sarcastic way) Noynoy doing one of his favorite past times.

Talaga naman si Noy o, makiki-picture na nga lang sa mga bebot may YOSI pa

Man in Blue: Bossing, astig yun lalagyan niyo ng yosi ah!
Noynoy: Aba syempre, kailangan ko yan sa kampanya,
ito ang oxygen ko para makapag-bola ng tao!
Man in Blue: Galing nyo talaga sir! Saan nyo nabili yan?
Noynoy: Cheap nga lang itong lalagyan ko eh, galing sa
Quiapo. Binili ni Kris kasabay ng mga survey.

in the first place, WHY did he?

Prior to former president Cory Aquino's timely death, it was Villar who was leading the presidential race, with Mar Roxas coming in second. But after Cory passed away, a sudden decision was made by the Aquino family (I am sure Kamag Anak Inc, Hyatt10 and Yellow Army had something to do with this too) that Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III would run for the Liberal Party as the party's presidential candidate.

I believe this action is a true testament of the Liberal Party's campaign method of POPULAR VOTE. I mean, why would they have Noynoy as their PRESIDENTIAL candidate??? I would understand if he was made a Vice-Presidential candidate at the MOST, but as president???

Um... No.

I pity Mar Roxas, it was not a sacrifice in his part to step down and accept a postition lower than what he has been working on for months already, it was a STUPID AND WEAK decision for him to do. I mean, think about this, a political party's standard bearer is always, not usually, ALWAYS supposed to be the presidential candidate...

And now, Mar Roxas gave way to what he thought was a good investment to trust (what trust?) the Aquino family in the political party's decision-making. What a bunch of bull, if you ask me...

Clearly this Liberal Party's strategy is to get as many popularity votes as they can while this whole "Cory Magic" shenanigans blow over... the nerve.

Surveys? What Surveys???

I have noticed during the past few months, even before campaign season started, EVERYBODY is so concerned with surveys!

I mean, i understand that it gives a little preview of the people's choice, but we all have to realize that the there were merely a thousand or two that were surveyed which compromises such a small part of the country.

I guess the people's fondness for surveys really come from the anxiety of this year's elections. It feels like it has been so long since Gloria Arroyo was in Malacanang that the people are striving, longing for a new kind of leadership.

This thing is what everybody is raving about

Almost every month, SWS and Pulse Asia releases their survey results conducted all over the country. There are also other independent institutions that conduct their own surveys. Common companies that release their own surveys are from newspaper companies. However, since most newpapers have their own bias on which candidate to shed BETTER light on, it would be presented that their chosen candidate is up on the ratings.

For, Manny Villar has consistently done well in the monthly surveys conducted by SWS and Pulse Asia, rating in at either first or second for most of the course of this year's elections.

Noynoy vs. Villar

He was the leading candidate coming in 'official' election season, but just before the new year (2010) a little something called "Cory Magic" happened and before we know it, some weirdo named Noynoy (seriously, you want to call our next president Noynoy? sounds like a joke that is'nt funny) topped all the surveys. It is of very obvioius reasons that Noy only got those ratings from the Yellow Epidemic, really, what has he done before that?

Nonetheless, Villar remains unfazed about this sudden surge of Yellow and he is steady at the top of the polls every month.

I have also noticed that after every survey release, the candidates are asked about their reactions regarding the latest surveys. For most candidates (which is everyone except Noy and Villar), they express their disappointment since they are all far behind in the polls. Noynoy however, has odd and speculative reactions to these surveys. Whenever he recieves a high rating, he rides his high horse and commends himself , becomes self-righteous, and boasts his cause in running for president, which is to get rid of 'evil' and replace it with 'good.' On the other hand, when he gets a low rating, he becomes rattled and acts up like the bratty child that he really is.

Manny Villar however, takes surveys in a very modest way, whether high or low rating. If polls are up, then he simply says 'good job so far' and commends his team's efforts. And when he gets a low rating, even if at times the surveys are totally biased, he just says 'we would just have to work harder'. Thats it, no ranting, no blaming, no tantrums.

Villar has a clear understanding that in this race for the president's seat, one needs to be perseverance, hard work, and dedication... Not one's parents.

Welcome Back to the Motherland

We're baaaack... Thanks to Sen. Manny!

Overseas Filipino Workers of OFWs as they are more popularly called, are an integral part of the Philippine society. In these times of economic difficulty, they are the ones who feed the country with dollars to keep us afloat. Aside from the benefit the country gets from their remittances, they also flourish the Filipino culture in other countries. Sure, some Filipinos become citizens of the place they are at, but the values, the attitude and mannerisms, are undoubtedly still Pinoy. The conservative and Christian values they have experienced growing up are passed on to their children, as well as the Filipino language. Although I am sure some kids of OFWs are more inclined with the country where they were born/grew up, their parents Filipino influence will be ever-present in their households.

That is why in choosing the president this coming elections, he must have a good plan/platform for OFWs.

The most OFW-oriented candidate I've noticed is Senator Manny Villar. Aside from the media outspread of Villar's advocacy to the poor, Villar has been the spearhead in rescuing oppressed and maltreated OFWs from different parts of the world.

I was able visit the OFW help center of Villar last week and good thing the staff there was kind enough to take a few moments of their time to entertain me.

Kay tagal mo nang nawala, babalik ka rin... babalik... ka rin.

They explained that Senator Villar brings home OFWs in need of help and assisstance almost every month, from different countries. They also have a help line which caters to anyone and everyone who is seeking help to retrieve their loved ones abroad. I noticed that there WERE plenty of people in the office, lined up and waiting for their turn to seek aid. Most of them looked really weary and troubled, and it was a saddening sight. Fortunate for them the staff of Villar's OFW help center were lively and very accomodating.

And I discovered that not only does Senator Villar bring these OFWs home, he provides monetary allowance and sufficient assisstance for the OFWs to reach their provinces/homes. And if you were able to catch it on TV, in the noontime show Wowowee, he gave away houses and lots to Balikbayans who were in need. To see the youtube video of it click HERE

Wowowee

I truly hope that Sen. Villar will claim the presidential spot this year and may he further help our fellow countrymen overseas who are in need. I believe that he is the only one that can truly make an impact in OFW-related issues, given his track record in this aspect.

Go VILLAR FOR PRESIDENT!!!

VVVote Wisely! Vote Manny!

To the lovely Ms. Soledad

I feel really sorry for Shalalalani Soledad...

I'm not totally sure if she was just compromised into entertaining Noynoy or she really likes him, but either way it was a wrong decision to give him a shot.

I have to admit, Ms. Soledad is truly pretty and seems like a sweet lady, but being with an Aquino will give her wrinkles even before she gets her first-born (that is if she is once again compromised into marrying abNoy).

A short shout out to Ms. Soledad,
THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE!

Ay, mali mali...
I meant, THINK BEFORE YOU MAKE MARITAL DECISIONS WITH A HOMER-LIKE DOUCHEBAG

You wouldn't want to end up being a MARGE, do you?

The Real Deal (Part 2)

hello again! so from yesterday we continue the top 10 (now down to last 5) things that I am looking for in a leader/president:

5. Humble - Being in government would give one such privileges and advantages in any aspect within the Philippines; It would give a sort of celebrity status to one's name if he/she were in public office. I am sure that there are some politicians out there who really take advantage of their position, not just in government dealings but also in everyday occurrences. A significant factor for me in choosing the next leader of the country is their humility, basically it's either they are humble or not, nothing in between. And as I see it, Manny Villar is probably the most humble of all the candidates running today. Not only did he come from humble beginnings, but he also carried that virtue throughout his life. Villar may have garnered billions of pesos, but it shows he never forgot where he came from. Even before he ran for the presidential seat, he has been helping, assisting, uplifting the lives of the Filipino people in his own way, especially the poor and the oppressed OFWs. It is rare to see him lavishly spending or indulging in unnecessary luxury, and when he does, it is always in moderation and never excessive. Of course you won't see him taking a jeepney or eating in a food stall on the streets, but neither will you see him bullying people around or shoving away people who ask for alms. Villar's humility and simplicity in life would prevent distractions and temptations from occurring given that he wins the seat.

4. Respect - In a very religious society such as the Philippines, respect is a virtue that is highly regarded. Naturally, a representative of our country should have that quality embedded in his soul. Since the president of the country will always deal with a lot of people of diverse backgrounds, he must always treat everyone with due respect, and if the president is not used to giving respect to everyone, then eventually he will be disrespected too by his countrymen. Manny Villar exhibits respect in the highest sense; he shows his respect to the Filipino people through his campaign to be the next president. In actuality, Villar doesn't need to dive into politics, let alone the fact that he is running for president, because he already has everything he needs materially in life. This is where we see how unselfish and sensitive Villar is to his countrymen. It is not of a personal gain to him if he wins the elections, rather it is the country's gain because Villar will only work for the Philippines and not for himself. It is his respect to his motherland that propells him to strive for the President's seat.

3. Experience - It is a known fact that one of the biggest crisis the Philippines has is the poverty issue, 70-80 percent of Filipinos are poor. This has been a problem for such a long time that it seems that it would never go away. The next president should be able to address this issue constantly because it would be foolish to move forward in any development without first dealing with the current problem. Villar evidently sees that problem and he has been proclaiming his battle against poverty since day one. We all know that Villar came from humble beginnings in Tondo, so we know for certain that he has gone through harsh conditions growing up and the ever-present struggle of poverty. Also, it is publicly known how Villar reached where he is today; it was simply a classic rags-to-riches story that cannot be denied. It is actually Villar's journey to the top that makes his competence even better, because in knowing that he has gone through so much life experiences, physically and mentally, the challenge of leading an entire nation would be a motivation for him rather than a burden. An experienced leader knows his people, knows his country, and knows what to do.

2. Track Record - Needless to say, a good track record would equate to a good statesman. But a GREAT track record would equate to... a good president! To check out Villar's track record click on: Legislative (for his legislature record) and Personal (for his personal track record). Tell me then if he has great track record or not ;-)

1. Genuine - Being a genuine leader is probably the most important attribute an aspiring president should have. I firmly believe that leaders are made, not born. Furthermore, leaders lead in essence and from experience, there is no such thing as a make-shift leader where a person attempts to lead in only a single aspect. Among the aspirants running this 2010 elections, only Manny Villar has proven his leadership through his extensive background. In that background it shows that he has been a leader for most of his life, starting from his small family all the way up to the senate floor. Who then, can deny that Villar is an authentic leader of the Philippines? Unlike others who were merely forced or chosen to run, Villar's goal to Malacañang is a personal one, one that he promises ultimate service exclusively to the Filipino people.

Hope this helped!!! Choose Wisely, VVVote Wisely!!!

Do not engage in vote-buying! If ever though, just get the money but still vote wisely! ;-)

And if there are other qualifications that you think is important/worthy to discuss, feel free to share it!
